DEAN HAWKEN
Managing Director
Based in Auckland, Dean Hawken is UPO’s Managing Director with more than 20 years experience in the retail design and fit out sector.
Before establishing UPO in 2002, Dean was based overseas in the United Kingdom, as a retail consultant.
He holds a Bachelor degree of Product Development from Massey University.
After working in the United Kingdom Dean realised that there was a need for a company to be established that would be focused
on being the interface between a Retailer/Architect and the Manufacturer.
Dean’s specialist skills include providing innovative design solutions that are cost effective for the client, whilst still retaining a very
high level of quality and design aesthetic.
With Dean having involvement throughout the “UPO development process”, and with input from other key members of the UPO team
ensures products are developed and produced to a high standard.
Since UPO has been established it now develops, designs, and supplies a large range of custom and stock shop fixtures and fittings
throughout New Zealand.

MATTHEW HOWARD
Operations Manager
Matthew joined UPO Ltd in 2007 with past experience in Manufacturing and Engineering Management.
Matthew has a strong knowledge of metal fabrication and general engineering which has become a valuable tool in the design
and construction of UPO’s various range of products and display systems.
A high level of enjoyment for all things technical makes Matthew enthusiastic in the operational and manufacturing processes
that UPO utilise in their day to day business.
His passion for working with staff and suppliers are a driving force behind the way he works and making sure all that UPO does
becomes a job well done.

LAUREN HAWKEN
Customer Support & Marketing
Lauren joined UPO in 2019, after deciding on a different change of pace having worked as a Consultant Planner for many years, and holds a degree in Resource and Environmental Planning.
In addition to helping with any general queries for UPO, Lauren can also help with the preparation of Building or Resource Consents Applications should they be required. Overall, Lauren enjoys working with people and deals with the front-of-house operations of UPO, in customer support. She provides the first port of call, to any queries you may have and then provides ongoing support to all our customers.
She's also in charge of any marketing required by the Team.

ELIEL CABRERA
Designer
Eliel has worked as an Industrial, Product and Interior Designer for over 14 years. In his professional career he has developed strong
knowledge in 3D software and rendering, this knowledge helps the UPO team and clients to have a better understanding on how the
final product will turn out.

We can supply nationwide and provide logistics management. With the options of flat packing products or sending fully assembled UPO has the option to fit within your budget.
